The order is believed to have violated the civil rights of the Japanese Americans as they were not involved in the attack.

4. The photograph portrays how life was like for the Japanese Americans after they were relocated at Tanforan Assembly Center in San Bruno California.

5. The purpose of the photograph is to prove that the camps existed. There were a total of 10 camps and about 120000 Japanese Americans were relocated in these camps.

6. President Ford believed the removal of Japanese Americans was unjust. On February 19,  1976, he formally cancelled the Executive Order 9066 and urged every citizen not to make the same mistake again.
