I have 2 questions about marijuana:
erma4kov [3.2K]
Marijuana decreases your sense of awareness with your surroundings. It isn't particularly dangerous unless you try to drive or if there is a raging fire close by. With this obliviousness to your surroundings it is harder to focus on any bad thoughts so marijuana smokers are usually thought to be much calmer, happier, and carefree. It afeects your coordination and movement because it is directly affecting your brains abi lity to process what is happening, slowing down your reaction time and things like that. hope this answered your questions.

Think about how Addiction/Substance Abuse may affect your family/loved ones and reflect.
oee [108]

Answer: The limbic system is the part of the brain containing its pleasure center. When certain addictive drugs are taken, they release multiple times the amount of dopamine this may lead to overeating or oversleeping. Since addiction leads to irresistible cravings and urges to drink people who are addicted make substances their priority.

How this affects the whole family in general

They no longer have a choice on when to stop someone who is dealing with addiction might find themselves lying to their family for example, they say that they're spending it on groceries but actually use it for dr!gs These types of actions erode the trust built up between you and your family members, leading to increased conflict. Once trust has been broken, it's very difficult to rebuild it. It also increases the chances of Physical injury Not only can users cause physical harm in the home, but those who drive under the influence may injure themselves or others while out on the road.

Flakiness

Acquiring and using that substance takes precedence over jobs, relationships, and other responsibilities. Users become less and less reliable to others as they obsess over their next fix.

How this affects children

Children who see a parent addicted to drugs are 3 times more likely to be neglected or physically abused. Drug abuse can cause a child to feel emotionally and physically neglected and unsafe. They may develop feelings of unworthiness or develop dysfunctional attachments in their adulthood. In extreme cases, children can be removed from the home and placed in foster care.

hope this helps!

PLEASE HELP. Identify genetic factors in becoming obese.
alexira [117]

Answer:

Rarely, obesity occurs in families according to a clear inheritance pattern caused by changes in a single gene. The most commonly implicated gene is MC4R, which encodes the melanocortin 4 receptor. Changes in MC4R that diminish its function are found in a small fraction (<5%) of obese people in various ethnic groups.
