Answer:skeletal evidence of evolution

Explanation:

So I’m not sure the best way to explain this, will edit in one second

So basically some creatures have leftover bones or other features that have no benefit but they also aren’t detrimental, and they are the result of evolution. There is a great video on bad animal skeletons by Sam O Nella Academy, it has some strong languages so inappropriate jokes, probably, all of them do, and this is middle school biology so watch at your own risk, but I think a pint you could bring up that your teacher would be impressed by is really any animal with a weird skeleton, for example dolphins who just have a random bone image where their legs used to be, they obviously don’t have legs but their ancestors did and to this day they still have a random bit of bone where an ancestor of theirs used to have legs, so skeletons help connect what a common ancestor looked like to what the current species looks like through similar bone structure and/or left over bones, such as dolphins who have a plate where an ancestor used to have legs

Evolution is the change in heritable traits of biological populations over successive generations.

What is evolution of life?

  • Evolution has produced the variety of life that exists on Earth today. Since life first emerged on Earth between 3.5 and 4 billion years ago, it has continued to develop.
  • At initially, there were just single-celled, primitive species on Earth.
  • The first multicellular organisms appeared much later, and as a result, the diversity of life on Earth significantly increased.
  • Darwin put out a substantial amount of evidence to back up his idea of evolution by natural selection.
  • Evolution is the gradual alteration of a living thing's traits over time. Natural selection is the process of evolution.
  • Through their DNA, organisms transmit their traits from one generation to the next.

The two basic and opposite actions that account for all muscle movements are contraction and extension.
Alekssandra [29.7K]
False
Muscles are only able to contract or relax. This is why they need complementary muscles. For example, the bicep can raise the forearm, but cannot lower it. For that, the tricep is needed.

How are cardiac muscle, smooth muscle, skeletal muscle alike?
AysviL [449]

Answer:

They are alike because they perform Voluntary and Involuntary Controls.

Explanation:

1). Skeletal muscle: The skeletal muscle brings about movement by pulling on the skeletal parts of which they are attached. This is the type of movement that is responsible for locomotion.

2). Smooth Muscle: This muscle is composed of elongated spindle-shaped cells which are grouped into bundles or sheets. They are least specialized muscle cells and are under the control of the autonomic nervous system.

3). Cardiac muscle: This muscle is only found in the walls of the heart. The muscle cells are branched and connected to one another by special discs. These cells helps the cells to contract and relax in unison so that the heart can pump rhythmically.
