WAS LOCATED OFF THE SWAHILI COAST.

Kilwa was on an island located off the Swahili coast in modern day Tanzania.

DEPENDED ON TRADE WITH ASIA.

As a trading Outpost, Kilwa depended on trade with Asia to survive. Indeed it only declined after traders started moving to other locations.
