Substitute it in with the pythagorean theorem. you’ll end up getting 6^2 + 12^2 + 13^2. this equation isn't true though, because 6^2 + 12^2 = 36 + 144 = 180 and 13^2 = 169.

PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:  Yes , it is unusual for a boiler to weigh more than 1550 grams .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Big chickens: According to a poultry industry news website, the weights of broilers (commercially raised chickens) are approximately normally distributed with mean(\mu) 1358 grams and standard deviation(\sigma) 161 grams.

When the probability that broiler weigh more than 1550 grams < 0.5 , then is unusual otherwise not.

Let x denotes the weight of broiler, then the probability that broiler weigh more than 1550 grams :-

P(x>1550)=1-P(x\leq1550)\\\\=1-P(\dfrac{x-\mu}{\sigma}\leq\dfrac{1550-1358}{161})\\\\\approx 1-P(z\leq1.19)\ \ [\because\ z=\dfrac{x-\mu}{\sigma}]\\\\=\\\\=1-0.8830\ \ [\text{By using z-table}]\\\\=0.117

Since 0.117<0.5

Therefore, it is unusual for a boiler to weigh more than 1550 grams .

How many terms are in the expression shown below?<br> 5x + 3y - 6
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

Three terms.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there! I'm glad I was able to help you!

Our given expression: 5x + 3y - 6

The equation shown above has three terms. They aren't "like" terms, but altogether we still have three terms.

In mathematical wording, we would call this a TRI-nomial. The prefix "tri" obviously means "three", so this is an easy way to remember the answer!

Term 1: [ 5x ]

Term 2: [ 3y ]

Term 3: [ 6 ]

*** Putting the three terms together makes this a trinomial again! ***

I hope this helped you! You can leave a comment below if you have any other questions! :)
