A firm that has recently experienced an enormous growth rate is seeking to lease a small plant in Memphis, TN; Biloxi, MS; or Bi

rmingham, AL. Prepare an economic analysis of the three locations given the following information: Annual costs for building, equipment, and administration would be $59,000 for Memphis, $69,000 for Biloxi, and $104,000 for Birmingham. Labor and materials are expected to be $7 per unit in Memphis, $5 per unit in Biloxi, and $5 per unit in Birmingham. The Memphis location would increase system transportation costs by $58,000 per year, the Biloxi location by $68,500 per year, and the Birmingham location by $25,400 per year. Answer:

Total cost for a location = Annual costs for building, equipment, and administration + Labor and materials cost per unit*expected annual volume + Increase in  transportation costs

Total cost for Memphis location = $59000 + $7*14400 + $58000

Total cost for Memphis location = $217,800

Total cost for Biloxi location = $69000 + $5*14400 + $68500

Total cost for Biloxi location = $209,500

Total cost for Birmingham location = $104000 + 5*14400 + $25400

Total cost for Birmingham location = $201,400

So, Birmingham location gives the lowest Annual Total Cost.

alexgriva [62]

Answer:

1. c. Operating cash flow = 50,000

2. b. Net income=$115,000

Explanation:

1. The Cashflow for the year is calculated by adding the balances from the Financing, Investing and Operating Activities in the following manner;

Cash Flow for the year = Opening Balance + Operating Activities + Investing Activities + Financing Activities

Operating Activities = Cash Flow - Opening Balance - Investing Activities - Financing Activities

= 25,000 - 55,000 - (-250,000) - 170,000

= $50,000

2. Net Income is calculated from Operating Activities in the following manner;

Net Income = Operating Cashflow + Increase in Inventory - Increase in Accruals - Depreciation

= 50,000 + 100,000 - 25,000 - 10,000

= $115,000

A.C. Tech Manufacturing Appliances manufactures three sizes of kitchen appliances: small, medium, and large. Product information
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

A.C. Tech Manufacturing Appliances

Product Models to produce first, if management incorporates a short-run profit-maximizing strategy:

                                                 Small      Medium     Large

Selling price                             $430       $610          $1,210

Variable cost                            $270       $280         $530

Contribution                            $160        $330         $680

Fixed Costs:

Fixed manufacturing                 $40         $170          $270

Fixed selling & admin                $70         $75            $140

Unit Profit                                   $50         $85            $270

Demand in units                         150         170              150

Total profit                               $7,500     $14,450      $40,500

Machine hours/unit                     60           60             150

Total machine hours required 9,000      10,200        22,500

Unit profit per machine hour   $0.83      $1.42         $1.80

If management incorporates a short-run profit maximizing strategy, given maximum machine hours available, it should first produce the large model.

Explanation:

The large model offers better contribution per unit, better profit per unit and in total, and most importantly better profit per unit of hour (major constraint).

In making a limiting factor decision, the choice goes to the product model that produces more profit under the limiting constraint.

Question 1
Lorico [155]
The answer is D because on a resume, you want it to be very formal and adequate. Second, you want it brief and short. Third, you want it all to be relevant to the right things and to what you are giving the resume for.

I hope this helped! Brainliest? :)
