inflation in history happens when there is a decline of purchase, this effects the money circulation and can cause surplus of items that arent being bought. this is the opposite of a deflation. which caused the stock market to crash and the immediate cause of the great depression.

How does imperialism effect us today?

Answer: it can influence a lot a way we look at international affairs or in personal contact (especially if we live in very globalized multicultural, multiracial society). Ancestry plays a significant role (in spite of strong influence of Enlightenment values that attempted to erase differences resulting from our natural allegiance to certain nation, race, social class or sex) and its role is present in our habits, lifestyle, way of thinking and feeling. I do not think that people are able to define their identity without being aware of imperial dichotomy domineering-dominated.

Explanation:whatever what happened in history is difficult to leave without a trace. There were always empires (Greece, Rome, British empire etc.), some of them more expansive, some of them less expansive. So are "accustomed" to or "familiarized" with the notion of Empire or imperialism which means we have a tendency view for ex. international affairs in terms of imperialism. But it depends very much what "us" means. It depends if a person and his/her ancestors belong to "dominated" or "domineering" because where there is an empire there are domineering/colonizers and dominated/colonized.
