Answer:

I would content that the mood in this excerpt can be described as fearful, ominous, dark and suspenseful.

Explanation:

The author is describing a very fearful scene. Jonathan Harker is recalling the day he rode in a carriage in order to visit Count Dracula at his castle. Even though the townspeople advised him not to travel there, specially on the eve of St.George's day, he did it. In this excerpt he is describing what he experienced on board of the caleche (driven by Dracula's servant) to which he transferred at some point during the journey. The driver had left momentarily and the English man was left alone, surrounded by scary wolves and scared horses. The terrifying setting helps to create a fearful and suspenseful mood, but one that, nevertheless, captivates the reader . One cannot avoid but to wonder what will happen next.

Describe the worst and the best conditions in which you've ever tried to study. What was the outcome of these study sessions?
Zepler [3.9K]
Studying in a public place like a station or bus is the worst. And studying in a library or home is the best. studying in a bus or station is worst because there are, at most times, noisy people around. The more unnecessary noise the less focused you are. And studying at home or a library is way better. The library is quiet so you wouldn't have to worry about not concentrating; being at home may be better because the familiar surroundings keep you comfortable.
