What is the recommended way to determine if a baby requires supplemental oxygen in the delivery room? assess the color of the ba
Vladimir79 [104]

The right answer is to look for cyanosis by determining the color of the baby's chest and abdomen,

Cyanosis refers to the bluish coloration that the skin and mucous membranes take when the blood contains a small amount of oxygen-bound hemoglobin.

When there is little oxygen in the blood, it takes on a dark red color. And when all the vessels (of the whole body or a region of the body) carry low oxygenated blood, then it gives the skin the bluish color characteristic of cyanosis.

Symptoms may be associated with that of cyanosis, depending on what causes it. For example, breathing difficulties, chest pain, fever, heart failure or general fatigue.

How does the cell wall work with the vacuole to maintain homeostasis?
Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

However, the central vacuole is the largest cell organ and is responsible for cell turgidity. When a plant receives optimal moisture, vacuoles fill with water and exert hydrostatic pressure against cell walls, preventing wilting.

NGSSS Check
6. Summarize how scien-
tists measure the
brightness of a star.
Vlada [557]

Answer:

Astronomers define star brightness in terms of apparent magnitude — how bright the star appears from Earth — and absolute magnitude — how bright the star appears at a standard distance of 32.6 light-years, or 10 parsecs. (A light-year is the distance light travels in one year — about 6 trillion miles, or 10 trillion kilometres.) Astronomers also measure luminosity — the amount of energy (light) that a star emits from its surface.

Hope this helps :)
