The main purpose of his speech is not to give praise and thanks to these men, for he says that the deeds of those patriots are well known. Instead, he urges his listeners to continue the work of those great revolutionaries who brought freedom and democracy to this land.

5. It was "illegal" to aid and comfort a Jew in Hitler's Germany. But I am sure that, if I had lived in Germany during that time
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

The type of figurative language is 'metaphor' which is a figure of speech that makes an implicit or hidden comparison between two unrelated things.

Meaning of figurative language: in this case, the metaphor is explaining the attitude towards Jewish people in terms of law; it was 'illegal' to aid them.

Effect on tone and mood: the fact that it was forbidden to help and comfort the ones in need gives a serious tone and mood to this passage.

Effect on the audience: It portraits the suffering of Jewish people for having been discriminated against. It also makes more significant the figure of Martin Luther King.

How does red jacket view the great spirit?
liubo4ka [24]

Red jacket view the great spirit as the god of all people, including the whites

Answer: Option B

Explanation:

Red Jacket whose real name was Sogoyewapha acted as a mediator between his nation and America after the revolutionary war 1812. He was famous as an orator and spoke for the rights of his people. He was called a man who is in benevolence with The Great Spirit.

His speech "Religion for the White Man and the Red" was a remarkable one. In that speech he spoke about the one religion which is common to all people as well as the whites.

That is the Great Spirit ( God ) gave our forefathers with all the wealth, land to stay and farm, etc. He knows what is right for us and he will lead us in that way.

God has made all of us but he made all of us with unique customs, looks, and complexions. These difference between us doesn't conclude that there are different religions.
