What type of evidence does Minow use to develop the idea that what is on television lacks value?
Serga [27]

Answer:

Newton Minow used the statistics on time dedicated to different kinds of TV shows in prime evening time to show that what is on TV often lacks value.

Explanation:

Minow explained that in prime time which comes in the evening, out of total of 73 and a half hours available for all the channels that ran in 1961, 59 hours were scheduled for movies, comedies quizzes and action adventures.

By using this evidence, he is able to draw a conclusion that Television prime time is not about giving good information or being useful but being entertaining.

How does hardship affect people's loyalties
USPshnik [31]

People's loyalties are affected by hardships in many ways. The actual test of loyalty is when going through hardships. In hard times when it becomes difficult to take care of even yourself that is the time when true nature of people is revealed. For example when you marry someone both make promises to stay together in hardships but then in those hard times someone cheats on other or if one is going through tough time the other might break the vows just because he/she cannot go through that phase with their partner.
Another way is that people are forced to do something in a certain situation which by nature they detest and would never do.
