There he was, standing tall and proud despite the tempest brewing around him. He drove up in a beat-up old 93' Chevy pickup, it looked like it had gone through the Sahara. He was a rather eccentric fellow, he always had his trusted parrot with him, almost as if it were guiding him. He walked into my restaurant and took off his sunglasses, even though the clouds were thicker than the molasses on my counter (like I said, eccentric) His name was Andrew, rather fitting for this weather actually. In this small town, we grew up together, he was always a misfit though. Of course, we all thought he was a bit strange, at least until we found out why he left. All these years thinking he was some crazy man who would go nowhere, and now he was one of the most respected members of this town. He left to become an astronaut, and that he did one of the best in fact. Just shows you can't judge a person by how they look or seem to act.
