1. Unsaturated fats are liquids at room temperature.

Most vegetable oils are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, including rapeseed, corn and olive oils. Palm oils are a little less unsaturated and those of coconut and palm kernel are significantly more saturated. Fatty bodies rich in unsaturated fatty acids tend to remain in the liquid state at room temperature. The cis unsaturated fatty acids of the omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 series include several essential fatty acids. For example, linoleic acid, linolenic acid and arachidonic acid are essential fatty acids in humans.

2. Unsaturated fats they have at least one double carbon-to-carbon bond.

An unsaturated fatty acid is a fatty acid that has one or more carbon-carbon double bonds. (as opposed to saturated fatty acids that have no C = C bond).

It is called monounsaturated fatty acid when there is only one double bond, and polyunsaturated fatty acid when there are several.

Overall, how has science impacted human health?
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

The correct answer is: C. Increased average lifespan to 78 in the US.

Explanation:

Science has impacted human health by increasing the average lifespan to 78 in the US. Over the last couple of decades, the life expectancy of Americans has increased significantly than what it was 200 years ago. This can be attributed to:

1. Vaccinations- Since the invention of vaccinations, diseases such as tuberculosis, cholera and polio which were major causes of death 200 years ago have virtually been eradicated in the US.

2. Abundant and safer foods available- Commercial and large scale farming has made a wide variety of nutritious foods easier to obtain.

3. Improved sanitation- Safer drinking water, sewage treatment and stricter food inspection has significantly reduced the rate of illnesses due to poor hygiene and sanitation.

In these ways, science has impacted human health by increasing the average lifespan to 78 in the US.

STatiana [176]

Answer:

There are several reasons why it might be a good idea to write down your ideas and discoveries when you perform initial research on a topic. First, when you begin your research, you might get a lot of questions and doubts because you are not familiar with the topic. If you write these down, you are more likely to seek answers to these questions later on and gain a better understanding of them. Second, your initial ideas might not be all good, but they might lead you towards a good thesis. Writing them down ensures that these are not lost. Finally, by writing down your ideas and thoughts you actively engage with the subject, leading you to a better understanding of it.
