You have the equation 10x² - y + x².

The like terms in this expression are 10x² and x², to group them we need to sum them up:

10x² + x² = 11x²

The other term is -y but there aren't any other like terms for it so it will remain the same.

Therefore, the expression 10x² - y + x² = 11x² - y
