Answer:

Islamism is the belief that Islam should guide social and political as well as personal life. Islam is a religion where the people who follow it are called Muslims. Muslims are monotheistic and worship one, all knowing god. Who in Arabic is know as allah.

So the difference is islam is a religion and islamism is one single belief. Islamism is a belief not a religion.
