Parallel structure is the repetition of a similar grammatical structure in a series of verbs, phrases or sentences. In the lines, he says that he does not hate his enemies and does not love his fellow countrymen. Using parallelism in this section show the similarities in his emotions for his enemies and his countrymen, he neither loves nor hates them.
