Answer:

4 times 10 to the negative seventh power

Step-by-step explanation:

We can see that the decimal has 6 zeros before it, and then it’s 4.

since there are 7 digits after the decimal point, we put 10 to the negative seventh power.

that gives us 0.0000001

to get 0.0000004, we need to multiply ten to the negative seventh power (0.0000001) by 4

Talja [164]
Okay first

22x+11=5x-7
You need to move the variables so it eaquals 0

22x+11-5x+7=0

Now combine like terms

17x+18=0

Move 18 over to divide

17x=-18

X= -1.1 or just -1

Good luck! :D

Answer:

a) two

b) S = {Orange, Purple}

c) 50%

d) 50%

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

When a marble is drawn from the jar, there are two possible outcomes. Either the marble will be orange or it will be purple.

b)

A sample space is a set of all possible outcomes of an event. Thus, the sample space in this case will be:

Sample Space = {Orange, Purple}

c)

The probability of an event is given as the number of favorable outcomes divided by the number of total outcomes.

Therefore,

Probability of selecting orange marble = P(Orange) = 1/2

P(Orange) = 0.5 = 50%

d)

Probability of selecting purple marble = P(Orange) = 1/2

P(purple) = 0.5 = 50%

X^2+x=2?? how would i solve this??
zubka84 [21]
X^2+x=2
first set to zero
x^2+x=2
subtract 2 from both sides
x^2+x-2=0
factor because if you have
x times y=0 then assume x and/or y=0 so

factor x^2+1x-2
to factor you find what 2 number add to 1 and multiply to get -2
the numbers are -1 and 2 so
it factors out to
(x-1)(x+2)=0
assume each is zero
x-1=0
add 1 to both sides
x=1

x+2=0
subtract 2 from both sides
x=-2

x=1 or -2
