The ground is supplementary. That means it equals 180 degrees. (A circle is 360. The ground is half the circle)
So u set up the equation as
180=22x+14x
180=36x
/36 /36
5=x

But you need to find the 14x
14(5)
=70 degrees before the tree hits the ground

Question 4.

a. Vert. asymptote: x = {-2, 2}

b. f(x) = 0: x = {0, -1/2}

c. Horizontal asymptote: y = 2

d. The graph has no hole

I'm a bit confused. Some of the things stated in the question aren't true like how there are holes in places where there aren't.

Find an expression for the nth term ( tn ) in each of the following sequences:
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

The expression for the nth term is Tn = 8n -7

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we are to find an expression for the nth term of the sequence.

Mathematically, the nth term of an arithmetic sequence can be expressed as;

Tn = a + (n-1)d

for T2, the equation is

a + d = 9

for T4, the equation is

a + 3d = 25

we can substitute the equation of T2 into T4 but we first need to rewrite T4

a + d + 2d = 25

9 + 2d = 25

2d = 25 -9

2d = 16

d = 16/2

d = 8

now since a + d = 9

a = 9-d

a = 9-8

a = 1

So the expression for the nth term would be;

1 + (n-1)8

1 + 8n - 8

= 8n -8+1

= 8n -7

Find the area.
8 in
19 in
13 in
1976 in²
205 in²
128 in²
104 in²
sveticcg [70]

Total area = 104+24 = 128 sq.in , Option C is the right answer.

The missing figure is attached with the answer.

What is Area ?

The space occupied by a two dimensional figure is called Area.

The figure given in the question can be divided into two figure

A rectangle of 8 * 13 inch

and a triangle of 8 * 6 inch

The area of a rectangle is given by

Length * Breadth

8 * 13

= 104 sq.inch

The area of the triangle is given by

(1/2) * base * height

= (1/2) * 8 * 6

= 24 sq.inch

Total area = 104+24 = 128 sq.in

Therefore Option C is the right answer.
