Indian tribes from the Plains region used buffalo for shelter, food, clothing, and artworks. These Indian tribes include Comanche, Arapaho, Kiowa, Cheyenne, Blackfoot Crow, Lakota, etc. American Indian tribes survived on hunting and gathering practices in the Great Plains. They follow buffalo herds (bison) which allow them to travel from one area to another. They live in tipis made of hides of bison which protect them from winter and rains.
