Language can be a highway, as learning different languages/different varieties allows you you to communicate and understand persons more. However, it may also be a wall as one may know so little of a particular language or dialect which can act as a barrier between you and the person to whom you are speaking with.

In many cases, we are fine (physically) but want to look like the person we just were left speechless with. These people on these ads and pages do not look like that without makeup.
