Social media shapes individual perception on the basis of beauty. Young ladies and even men are constantly coming across "beauty" in ads and on celebrity pages. The constant deluge of images affect our psyche and we start becoming more aware and critical of our own body. In many cases, we are fine (physically) but want to look like the person we just were left speechless with. These people on these ads and pages do not look like that without makeup. In a technological age, photoshop has made us believe in this divine beauty. Not true. They are human like you and me.
