Answer:

Explanation:

Travel is the movement of people between distant geographical locations. When a person makes the same trip every day to work or school, this type of travelling is usually called "commuting."

Travel broadens the mind, as it teaches you to cope better under pressure and manage your stress levels while being several thousand miles away from home. Not to mention, travel is the ideal opportunity to learn new skills and practice your current interests.

Proverb One gains greater perspective on and knowledge about the world, other people, and oneself when one travels to different places. Hodophile – the very word for travel lovers. A Hodophile is “One who loves to travel.”

Mark Twain wrote: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

While away from home and the ease of a regular support system, students have opportunities to see what they are capable of accomplishing by themselves. Traveling allows students to develop themselves in ways that can't be achieved without stepping outside of their comfort zone.

zhannawk [14.2K]
I'm not sure to which story you are referring, but here's what the symbols mean. A pendulum is the part of a clock (i.e. a grandfather clock) that counts the seconds as they pass. They would symbolize the unstoppable nature of time. An old man with a scythe might represent the grim reaper or another figure of death.
Both of these symbols have to do with growing older and moving on (dying).

Hope this helps! :)
