Congress instituted the reconstruction finance corporation to loan money to lend money to state and local governments, along with private companies that needed assistance due to the effects of the Great Depression.
In the 1840s and 1850s there was a rising division as regards cultural and intellectual terms between the North and the South of the country. Between 1854 and 1861 a small civil war took part in Kansas. It was known as Bleeding Kansas and it was a series of violent civil confrontations between the ones who were in favour of the legality of slavery and the ones who were against it.
After peace talks between the United States and North Vietnam stalled, communist forces invading South Vietnam occurred first.
The Viet Cong or the National Liberation Front for South Vietnam, together with the Communist North Vietnamese, captured Saigon, the South Vietnamese Capital which forced South Vietnam to surrender and brought the end of the Vietnam War.
