No, we observe different number of ectotherms and endotherms in  Arctic, and a dry desert ecosystems because there is difference in the temperature of both the environment. Due to difference in temperature of the external environment, the number of  ectotherms and endotherms are present in that ecosystem. More number of ectoderms are present in the desert ecosystem where the ectoderms survive better than endotherms so we can say that number or population is different.
