The long term effects were quite startling and have nothing to do with democracy . That progression was in the place anyway. The founding of the USA had placed it firmly on the real agenda. The French Revolution was a turning point in French and even to world history. It was the first time a population revolted against the monarchy and stablished a republic .
<em>One reason, would be to reach out concerning the state of things in a city. For example, the river that flows right through your city, has had pollution stacking up inside of it. That would be a concern you could reach out to your governor for, because this could lead to them taking action against the pollution.</em>
