Answer:

The Enlightenment had a profound effect on religion. Many Christians found the enlightened view of the world consistent with Christian beliefs, and used this rational thinking as support for the existence and benevolence of God. However, the Enlightenment led other Protestants in a very different direction. The eighteenth century saw a host of social, religious, and intellectual changes across the British Empire. While the Great Awakening emphasized vigorously emotional religiosity, the Enlightenment promoted the power of reason and scientific observation. Both movements had lasting impacts on the colonies.

In a short essay, describe what is meant by "classical" and why Greece is an example of a classical civilization.
Lady_Fox [76]
Classical in my words would be something that is favored now that was favored in the past. favored meaning worshiped, liked, acknowledged, respected, so on and so forth. Greece is in my book a prime example for classic because for one, im pagan Hellenic and for two it was one of the "CLASSICAL" and first well known (now and then) civilizations and other civilizations based there beliefs off of the Greek civilization like the Romans when they overtook the Greek and they based there religion off of there gods lie Poseidon being Neptune and Zeus becoming Jupiter so on and so forth.
