Samurai were mostly men but their wives were taught how to fight as well these female warriors were called Onna Bushi they were taught to protect their homes from invaders or robbers when the samurai were away, they used a weapon called the Naginata it was a polearm with a long blade at the end kind of like a katana but with the handle turned into a pole.Explanation:
