The weight of Mighty Max at the end of wrestling season is 128 pounds.

He had lost 7 pounds now.

So his previous weight is = (128+7) pounds = 135 pounds.

We have to find the percentage of decrease in weight.

To find decreasing percentage we have to divide the difference between the weights by the starting weight and have to multiply 100 with it.

The percentage in decrease = (\frac{7}{135} )(100)%

= (0.05185)(100)%

= 5.185%

= 5.2% ( Approximately taken up to nearest tenth)

We have got the required answer.

The required percentage decrease in weight is 5.2%.

Write an equation of the line that passes through the point (3,0) and
has the slope, m = -2.
kenny6666 [7]
The equation of a line is Y=mx+b
You know that the slope is -2 and the slope is 'm' so sub it into the equation.
Y=-2x+b
To have an equation of a line you need the 'b' or 'y' intercept and the slope.
This means you have to find the 'b' because you already know the slope which is -2. To find the 'b' you have to sub in the coordinates and then solve for 'b'
Y=-2x+b
(x,y)
(3,0)
0=-2(3)+b
0=-6+b
6=b
Therefore the equation of the line is Y=-2x+6

A sequence is defined by the explicit formula an=3n+4 Which recursive formula represents the same sequence of numbers?
fomenos

Answer:

Option (3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Explicit formula of the sequence is,

a_n=3^n+4

From this explicit formula,

First term of the sequence will be,

a_1=(3^1)+4

a_1=7

Second term of the sequence,

a_2=(3^2)+4

a_2 = 13

3rd term of the sequence,

a_{3}=(3^3)+4

   = 31

Sequence formed,

7, 13, 31 ..........

From the given options,

Recursive formula,

a_n=3a_{n-1}-8

a_2=3(a_1)-8

a_2=3(7)-8

a_2=21-8 = 13

a_3=3a_2-8

a_3=3a_2-8

a_3=3(13)-8

    = 39 - 8

    = 31

Sequence formed from this recursive formula will be,

7, 13, 31........

Therefore, Option (3) will be the answer.
