Mostly during the Neolithic period, the Neolithic Revolution, or the (First) Agricultural Revolution, was the large transformation of many populations from hunting and gathering lifestyle to one of cultivation and settlement, making it easier for an increasingly large population. Such settled societies enabled people to study and experiment with plants and study how they developed and formed.
