. Why did immigrants tend to group together in cities?
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

In order to help ( to support ) each other easily.

Explanation:

The life in the foreign country is new and not easy especially in large cities, so the people with the same culture, language, religion tend to group together. Sometimes immigrants build their own society in the city. The example is Chinese Town in San Francisco. Chinese people have their own district in HoChiMinh City (Vietnam) too - This does not mean that district is their own territory, this means just so many Chinese people live there, and you hardly can see the original Vietnamese people in that district.
