The World War 1 was a total war, it possesses all the characteristics of total war such as: mobilization of all resources and population towards war efforts, prioritization of production of materials needed for war, for instance ammunition and weapons, increase in tax to support war efforts, borrowing from neutral nations, etc. <span />
