Answer: ectotherms do not experience homeostasis whereas endotherms do.

Explanation: ectotherms cannot regulate their own body temperature which is why they are known as cold blooded. They regulate temperature by using their environment such as basking in the sun. Endotherms need homeostasis to regulate their body temperature as when they become cold their body burns calories to generate heat.
