The Round Table was King Arthur's table where he congregated with his Knights. It is very important part of the legend of King Arthur. Its shape (the fact that it is round and that there is no head) symbolizes that all of Knights siting there have equal status. This table was first described in 1155. by Wace, in his "Roman de Brut". There, he pointed out that Arthur created the Round Table to stop and prevent quarrels among his barons.
