2 a. Answer by Mimiwhatsup: Fourteen Points was a statement of principles for peace that was to be used for peace negotiations so that way WWI would end. Later the principles were outlined on January 8, 1918 speech on the war aims and its peace terms for the United States Congress that was by President Woodrow Wilson. The reason why it failed was because Irish immigrants refused to accept the plan and Irish immigrants felt that the President was more focused on WWI rather than forcing the Britain to set Ireland free. Jews also had stepped back because they felt that it was more focused on the war also than the Balfour Declaration.

Sharia Law drastically deduces women's rights. While I may not be able to provide a complete list explaining the rules women must follow, I'll name a few key points.
- In a trial, a woman's testimony in court carries 1/2 the weight of a man's
- A man may marry 4 women while a woman is restricted to 1.
- A woman cannot speak alone to a man who is not her husband or close relative. They are also excluded from being alone with their male cousins.
- Women inherit half of what is available to a man who both have the same degree of relation to the descendant. For example, a son inherits double what the daughter gets.
- A Muslim man may marry "people of the book" (Christians and Jews), while a woman can only marry another Muslim man.
- Women are obliged to wear the hijab, Muslim or not.
So all in all, men tend to have the upper hand. Women don't have the best of treatment.
Keep in mind that these are no "official rules" or anything along those lines to Islam. These are man made rules made by people who interpreted the Quran. (Unlike the Quran, they aren't considered the word of God).
Have a good day!
