The answer is D.
Middle Colonies
Often referred to as the “breadbasket colonies,” the Middle colonies were home to immigrants who enjoyed the respect for religious freedom made famous here by the Quakers. Family members and indentured servants harvested wheat, grain, and oats. The moderate weather and the fertile soil attracted many colonists to this region.
This can be generalized: with isolation, people don't have contact with others, so they can't spread the religion. Because the monks were so isolated, the general population was less involved and didn't find out about the religion as much and people abandoned it and new people didn't join.
