The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not attach the text. We do not know what text you are referring to or the content of the text. That is why we cannot give examples from the text.

What we can do for you is comment on the following concepts, based on our knowledge of the topic.

In my opinion, communication has dramatically changed from ancient Greece in many ways. Basically in the use of technology and the use of propaganda, advertisement, and public relations. These concepts tried to manipulate or at least influence the audience to gain people's support in different ways.

Using propaganda, politicians want to convince their audiences to vote for them. Using advertising, companies want to convince audiences that their products are the best. Using technology, mass media companies want to report the news in the fastest way to a broader audience.

How does public speaking play a role in your life? What kind of role does it play in your current/future career?

Public speaking plays an important role in my student's life and will be important in my professional career. Why? Because you need to address your audiences. The classroom when you are a student, your teachers. But in the corporate world, public speaking is a key to sell your ideas and project the correct public image to your audiences.

How do you prepare for speeches?

I prepare my speeches in the following way.

1.- Confidence. You must show your confidence to the audience to be trustworthy.

2.- Being authentic. You don't need to pretend to be someone else. You have to be authentic and use your own style. People want to listen to you and no other person.

3.- Passion. Your message has to be full of passion. You studied and played for that school. You know what it's like to wear your alma mater's colors in the uniform, and you know what it takes to win. Well, show it in your speech.

4.- Engage with your audiences using anecdotes.

5.- Reliable sources of information.
