Explanation:

In the 1930s, Europe suffered from a severe economic crisis. One of the reason was the great depression that began in America when the stock market collapsed.

Totalitarian regimes have trampled on individual freedom and human dignity.

Far from making the world safe for democracy, as Wilson and other liberals had hoped, World War I gave the rise to totalitarian movements that nearly destroy democracy in some of the countries in Europe.

The term totalitarianism is used to describe the Fascist regime, the Nazi regime, and the Communist.

Today, it is impossible for a nation to turn into a totalitarian regime. The powerful country like America and other European countries would intervene based on human rights.
