I feel like there is more than one metaphor? They paint a picture of what the author wants you to see. It sets the tone by making you feel what the author is showing you. ie: as doth a bird to its recalling lure. I think it makes you feel and sets the tone by its imagery.
I’m writing this hoping you can use different types of the word
The shining snow quietly fell beneath the soft boom of lightning. Laughing my friends and I sang quiet songs as we saw the snow fall. The lights went out as a boom of lightning hit a telephone pole. All went quiet. When the shining sun finally shone out I sung in rejoice as I played laughing all the way.
The pronouns and antecedents in these sentences are:
His-Jeff: the pronoun "his" is used to refer that the woman is Jeff's mother.
They-flowers: To avoid the repetition of the word "flowers" the writer replaces it for the pronoun "they" in the second sentence.
By adding the conjunction "although," this phrase turns into a dependent clause.
- Dependent clauses do not form a sentence by themselves, and they must be connected to the main clause in a sentence.
- Independent clauses can stand alone and create and create a sentence by themselves.
I hope this helps!!
I would appreciate it if you could mark me as brainliest :-)
