Answer:

The Second World War was a defining event in Canadian history, transforming a quiet country on the fringes of global affairs into a critical player in the 20th century's most important struggle. Canada carried out a vital role in the Battle of the Atlantic and the air war over Germany, and contributed forces to the campaigns of western Europe beyond what might be expected of a small nation of then only 11 million people. Between 1939 and 1945 more than one million Canadian men and women served full-time in the armed services. More than 43,000 were killed. Despite the bloodshed, the war against Germany and the Axis powers reinvigorated Canada's industrial base, elevated the role of women in the economy, paved the way for Canada's membership in NATO, and left Canadians with a legacy of proud service and sacrifice embodied in names such as Dieppe, Hong Kong, Ortona and Juno Beach.

max2010maxim [7]

I would be hard to argue that the Renaissance even impacted everyone directly.

The best answer to this is that the Renaissance created a period of social and economic upheaval that changed people's lives. Change is not always good and people were uprooted and put into new situations as a result.

Watch the video “1971-1975 approaching the apocalypse”

What statement did the “Hard Hat Demonstrators” make in NY?

Answer: Their support of the Vietnam war, and the attack of student protesters.

Explanation:

On May 8, 1970, the “Hard Hat Demonstrators” (construction workers assembled by the New York State American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) attacked students who protested the Vietnam War. As most labor leaders, the AFL-CIO was anti-communist and supported President Richard Nixon´s invasion of neutral Cambodia.

What was the cause of the destruction of the Maine in 1898?
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

I guess I would say "C. an explosion with unknown causes" because he Maine explosion was likely caused by a fire that ignited its ammunition stocks.

The assumption before was that of Spanish sabotage but I guess we can never know.
