In 1973, OPEC created a major oil crisis in Western European nations and the United States by declaring an embargo against them. The shortage of fuel disrupted businesses and limited the use of cars and other vehicles.
This examples shows interdependence because the US economy was negatively effected by the economic sanctions placed on them by countries who were part of OPEC. This resulted in long gas lines in the US, as well as limits on how much gas individuals could buy at one time.
I think I wouldn't have been attracted because I probably would already have had my business settled and been making my profits. Whereas if I had gone to the west then I would have had to start over. I think the majority of people who went to the west were people who were money seekers and who were looking to better their lives.
During the start of the civil war, the confederate side was gaining victory because the union at first did not allow slaves to help fight until president Lincoln finally signed the emancipation proclamation which allowed the slaves to help fight, gaining back the victory of the union. hope this helped.
