Studies support the claim that volunteering on a regular basis actually benefits one’s general physical health. Depending on the

needs of an organization, many volunteer opportunities can involve physical movement. Volunteers at a local soup kitchen may, for example, find themselves unloading truckloads of donated supplies. Other research related to volunteering and staying healthy found that volunteers often experienced decreased chronic pain and fewer symptoms of heart disease. Of course, not all volunteer positions involve physical exertion. Tasks involving minimal movement, such as answering phones, filing papers, and/or addressing envelopes, should be combined with some type of physical activity. Using the stairs instead of an elevator or walking to work instead of driving are examples of easy ways to integrate exercise into a daily routine. Why does the author most ikely include this interaction?
mel-nik [20]

The correct answer is A. To emphasize the generational cycle of debt slavery

Explanation:

The excerpt from "Free the Children" refers to the "life cycle" of slaves by explaining in this context, individuals are expected to work incessantly just to pay the debt of their parents; at the same time, once the debt is paid it is likely they request a loan to their master and let their children paid it. This shows a constant cycle of working just for paying the debt bondage, which does not allow people to be free or follow their will. This is emphasized by the words of someone paying a debt slavery in "will do the same job. I will work to pay the debt ... One day I will take a loan from the owner. My children will have to pay" that shows the endless cycle. According to this, the author more likely includes this interaction "to emphasize the generational cycle of debt slavery."
