Most of the war was being fought on Southern soil and that was negatively affecting them. The economy was also being harshly affected because they need the Northern states for exporting the goods out. The North had all of the factories as well which was also a negitive for the South. Another large factor is that the Union still has the Confederacy with the blockade. They can not get out of this blockade which is a negitive on their economy. Finally, lots of the land in the South was being destroyed in the war. The North and South were mainly fighting in the Southern states which was causing property damage. This was negatively affecting the economy in the Confederacy so they were not doing well.

All the factories were in the north, so, the South had no place to export to, thus making no money because they were not exporting.

Why was Virginia house of burgesses significant ?
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

The House of burgesses in Virginia had a profound influence on political life during the events of 1763-1776, when there was a break in relations between Great Britain and its North American colonies. The Burgesses House, along with the local Council and the governor appointed by the king, represented the local government. The Council represented the aristocracy, and the Burgesses House was a meeting of elected representatives and embodied the democratic component of power. It was a kind of political club of gentry, most often demonstrating unanimity about managing the affairs of the colony, considering themselves much more competent in them than the English parliament. The council represented the interests of the colonial administration as a whole, while the Burgesses House represented local elites.

Zanzabum

Answer:

The First Amendment is widely considered to be the most important part of the Bill of Rights. It protects the fundamental rights of conscience—the freedom to believe and express different ideas--in a variety of ways. Under the First Amendment, Americans have both the right to exercise their religion as well as to be free from government coercion to support religion. The Second Amendment is the only place in the Bill of Rights where Congress’s capacity to “regulate” appears in plain language. Our forebears clearly believed that freedom involved not only ensuring that the government would not have a monopoly on guns, but also that we would carefully regulate our weapons.
