The classes didn’t just have one age in the class. Indian families would usually have a lot of kids to help out with the crops or harvest. The girls would help with inside work and men outside. They would go to school in the morning and come home to work or do chores. They didn’t have school like how we do. They don’t have computers To help them look up a word. They had to listen and obtain it all. If they didn’t pay attention to the teacher or start goffying around they would get punished. It was hard for the children. They had to deal with a lot. That is why they aren’t even smiling.

I really hope I helped. If you have any questions, please ask in the comments.

Answer: Explanation:

The American Indian boarding school first established in 1860 with the help of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Its first Indian school opened in the Yakima Indian Reservation. These schools set up by eastern reformers like Henry Pancoast and Herbert Welsh. The aim was to use education in bringing Indian tribes into the American way of life. Indian people taught about material wealth and private property.

Many Native American saw boarding school education designed to bring destruction on Indian culture and values which were in the hands of children to continue it to the future.
