When subtracting 9.3 from a certain number, the result is 68.91, as seen below. What number should go in the box to complete the
34kurt
To answer this item, we let x be the number that is not unknown in this item such that the situation in this problem can be expressed as follows,

    x - 9.3 = 68.91

Adding 9.3 to both sides of the equation,
   x - 9.3 + 9.3 = 68.91 + 9.3

Simplifying,
   x = 78.21

The answer to this item is 78.21, this I think is the first choice except that it is mistakenly written as 7.21 only.

In this illustration, which site is an oceanic spreading center?
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:  'A' is the response.

Explanation:   The diagram A appears to show a location where magma is rising as a result of an upwelling convection current in the magma, which could cause the sea bottom to spread. The spreading of the crust is indicated by the arrows. This will become a focal point for the spreading marine floor.

A radioactive isotope, Phlebotinum, decays into Dilithium with a half-life of 42 million years. If we find a rock with 25% Phleb
sineoko [7]

Answer:

time taken for 25% Phlebotinum and  75% Dilithium is 168 million years

Explanation:

radioactive isotope of Phlebotinum decays into Dilithium.

time taken to half life takes = 42 million years

half life means that the Phlebotinum is 50% and  Dilithium is also 50%

and now it is given that  Phlebotinum is 25% and Dilithium is 75%

hence this condition will come after two half lives.

for one half life it takes  42 million years

and for second half life time becomes 4 times of first half life

time for 25% Phlebotinum and  75% Dilithium is  = 4 × 42

     =  168 million years.

hence time taken for 25% Phlebotinum and  75% Dilithium is 168 million years
