The southern colonies economy was centered around cash crop while the New England colonies economy was centered around fishing and shipping. The new England colonies were also very strict in religion (puritans), while the south was much more religiously tolerant
The Senate ratifies treaties and approves presidential appointments while the House initiates revenue-raising bills. The House initiates impeachment cases, while the Senate decides impeachment cases.
