Length of rectangle = x +x = 2x

Perimeter of rectangle = 27 inches

2*(length + width) = 27

    6x= 27           {Divide both sides by 6}

       x = 27/6

x = 4.5

Width = x = 4.5 inches

Length = 2x = 2*4.5 = 9 inches
