Answer:

yes.

honestly, I didn't really do all the math.

3 in 18 minutes, a little better than 3 in 20 minutes. that translates to 9 in an hour, with 6 minutes left over.

3 hours of that (3×9) is the 27. with 6 minutes per hour left over, for a total of 18 minutes.

the teacher has time to grade the tests, get a cup of coffee, and take a few minutes to wonder why she didn't go into an easier line if work.

Our of the four runners: Alex, Ben, Curtis, and Dan, the oldest came in second place. Alex ran the distance faster than Curtis,
Alexus [3.1K]

Considering the situation described, the classification of the runners is given as follows:

Dan - Ben - Alex - Curtis.

What is the classification of the runners?

The oldest came in second place. Ben is older than Alex, and Curtis is older than Dan, hence either Ben or Curtis finished second.

Alex ran the distance faster than Curtis, and Dan ran faster than Ben and Curtis, hence considering the above observation Ben finished second and the classification is:

Dan - Ben - Alex - Curtis.

Answer:

1. 4 is the constant

2. x > -2

3. 2.86 inches

^The formula for the circumference of a circle is C=2∏r, in which r=radius. To find the radius, then, we insert 18 in for the circumference. So 18=2∏r. Solving for r gives 9/∏, or approximately 2.86 inches.
