Answer:

Width = 18 cm

Length = 22 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

A rectangle have 4 sides . Opposite side of a rectangle is equal in size . The sum of the whole sides of the rectangle is the perimeter.

perimeter of a rectangle =  L + L + W + W

perimeter of a rectangle = 2L + 2W = 2(L + W)

perimeter =  80 cm

length(L) = (4 + W) cm

using the perimeter formula,

80 = 2(4 + W + W)

80 = 2(4 + 2W)

divide both side by 2

40 = 4 + 2W

40 - 4 = 2W

36 = 2W

W = 36/2

W =18 cm

since,

length = 4 + W

W = 18 cm

length= 4 + 18

length = 22 cm

I think this is the answer: Length = l Width = w 2l + 2w = 80cm l+w = 40cm l = w+4 w+4 + w = 40cm 2w + 4 = 40cm 2w = 36cm w = 18cm l = 22cm

Bailey just ran four miles outside. Her time for each mile was 9.05 / 8.24 / 10 / 9.22. How long did it take for her to run all
larisa86 [58]

Answer:

36.51

Step-by-step explanation:

If Bailey ran four miles, then the time that is given for each of her miles should be added together to find out her total time.

9.05 + 8.24 + 10 + 9.22

You can break it down into chunks to make it easier for you:

9.05 + 8.24

= 17.29

___________

9.22 + 10

= 19.22

_________________________________________________

Then you can just add both values together to find out the total

17.29 + 19.22 = 36.51

An education firm measures the high school dropout rate as the percentage of 16 to 24 year olds who are not enrolled in school a
posledela

Answer:

The value of the test statistic z = -0.6606

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

      The high dropout rate is \mu  = 6.1%  = 0.061

      The  sample size is  n = 1000

       The  number of dropouts x = 56

       The probability of having a dropout in 1000 people  \= x  = \frac{56}{1000}  =  0.056

Now setting up Test Hypothesis

 Null  H_o :  p = 0.061

 Alternative  H_a : p < 0.061

The Test statistics is mathematically represented as

                 z = \frac{\= x - p}{\sqrt{\frac{p(1 -p)}{n} } }

substituting values

               z = \frac{0.056 - 0.061}{\sqrt{\frac{0.061(1 -0.061)}{1000} } }

               z = -0.6606
