5 paragraph essay for difference between knowlege and ignorance
makvit [3.9K]

There are many types of knowledge, and many types of ignorance. They may come from any creed, and any person. But, for now let us speak of two types of knowledge, worldly knowledge and spiritual knowledge. Based on the book “Knowledge on the scriptures” it says: “Knowledge is knowing through personal experience, observation, or study” So, a person acquires knowledge through the use of study and experience as well as observation. For example: How does a person know that it is wrong to put the hand on top on the stove? Because, when they were a child there was the probability that they touched the stove out of curiosity. And, due to that bad experience they learned not to do it again. Spiritual knowledge is acquired through reading the Bible and applying the things in it. Now, let’s speak of worldly knowledge. Where does a person obtain information on the matter? Referring to worldly knowledge the Bible says that it focuses on the desires on “the eyes and flesh” meaning that we go with our own instincts and “be glutted with (our) own counsel” like stated in Proverbs 1:31. When we use worldly knowledge and our own instincts to go forth in life not only will we feel void and empty, but also without purpose. The magazine “What is the purpose of life” states: “Evolutionary scientist Stephen Jay Gould noted: “We may yearn for a higher answer—but none exists.” For such evolutionists, life is a struggle for survival of the fittest, death enduring it all. There is no hope in that view…” However, not all self-wisdom is bad, or without logic.

James Peterson, also known as the “father of philosophy” has made some grand remarks of the human nature. He one explained that the human has a dark side that we must embrace in order to function properly. And, such a statement is true. In order to turn away from what haunts us, we need to accept what those things are bad within us and realize it. Not suppress it because it will be worse, but, instead become one with it. How do we become one with it? By realizing it is there and doing activities that will release that negative behavior that is inside us like through art, writing, building structure models, etc.

Focusing on types of ignorance, what is ignorance? Based on the dictionary it is “lack of knowledge and information”. Ignorant or living in ignorance is the person who does not study, does not observe, does not experience in order to learn and achieve things in life.  It is entirely different from the word knowledge. Based on the magazine: "Good will conquer Evil" states, "The apostle Paul’s experience highlights a... reason why people do evil things. Earlier in his life... when he was known by the name Saul, he was “breathing threat and murder” against this very same group. (Acts 9:1, 2) Why did Paul condone and participate in the evil acts perpetrated against the early Christians? “Because I was ignorant,” he says. (1 Timothy 1:13) Yes, Paul formerly had “a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge.”—Romans 10:2. Like Paul, many sincere people have engaged in evil acts because of a lack of accurate knowledge of God’s will." Yes, ignorance causes people to do things that are wrong and even detestable or unhealthy.

Many people put on blood transfusions. However, is it healthy or even safe? Its true that blood has connection with life. It transports oxygens through the whole body and removes carbon dioxide, it also helps to fight against sicknesses. (Medical World News, December 11, 1989) states: When doctors transplant a heart, a liver, or another organ, the recipient's immune system may sense the foreign tissue and reject it. Yet, a transfusion is a tissue transplant. Even blood that has been "properly" cross matched can suppress the immune system. At a conference of pathologists, the point was made that hundreds of medical papers "have linked blood transfusions to immunologic responses."—"Case Builds Against Transfusions," And, the scientific magazine (Techniques of Blood Transfusion 1982) say's: "other transfusion-associated infectious diseases," such as syphilis, cytomegalovirus infection, and malaria. It then says: "Several other diseases have also been reported to be transmitted by blood transfusion, including herpes virus infections, infectious mononucleosis (Epstein-Barr virus), toxoplasmosis, trypanosomiasis [African sleeping sickness and Chagas' disease], leishmaniasis, brucellosis [undulant fever], typhus, filariasis, measles, salmonellosis, and Colorado tick fever."  Of course, those who have already put on a blood transfusion are not ignorant, just misinformed because there are alternatives to blood transfusions. However, after knowing the possible side effects and consequences then it would be an ignorant step by part of the person to go ahead and put on a blood transfusion.
