What was the Warsaw Pact?
jekas [21]

A. A military alliance between the Soviet Union and Eastern European countries

The Warsaw Pact dates back to 1955, mainly a military alliance led by the USSR in reaction to the NATO (military alliance led by US) counterpart.  This coalition also discouraged the possibility of Western Germany to rearm, especially since the entering of capitalist Germany into the Nato took place the year previous, 1954. Seen from the Soviet perspective, the Warsaw Pact also served for strengthening military presence in the Eastern countries, that were satellite states. The most representative act took by the Warsaw Pact was the invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968.

Explanation:

The Iraq war began in 2003 with the invasion of Iraq and the overthrowing of Saddam Hussein by the US and its coalition.

The goal of the Iraq war was to remove a regime that harboured terrorists, commited humans rights crimes, developed and used weapons of mass destruction and violated the demands of the United Nations.

The challenges of the Iraq war include; sectarian and ethnic tensions and conflicts, breakdown of Iraq's territorial integrity, as well as economic challenges.

The goal of the Afghanistan war was to remove the Taliban from power, in order to destroy Al Qaeda's terrorists and camps following the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.

2. NAACP- Nat'l Association for the Advancement of Colored People. They work to protect existing rights of racial and ethnic minorities.

3. NRA- National Rifle Association. Work to protect and expand the rights of gun-owners, based on their interpretation of the 2nd Amendment that it gives individuals the right to carry firearms. Another interpretation is that it gives states the right to form militias (what gun-control advocates often say). There are other interpretations as well.

4.Native American Rights Fund-The Native American Rights Fund mission is the preservation of tribal existence, the protection of tribal natural resources, the promotion of human rights, the accountability of governments, the development of Indian law and educating the public about Indian rights, laws, and issues.
